Vacation time is exciting and fun. However, we have all experienced a little bit of stress as we try to figure out where to stay, how to travel, how much to spend, and where to visit. There are so many options available today, with so many people giving us ideas and suggestions. It seems that everyone has a different opinion on where to go and where to stay while traveling. Where to lodge while on vacation is one of the most important questions you will ask because the place you are staying can turn your experience into a more delightful one, or can actually ruin your trip altogether.

Jerusalem and the surrounding areas offer such a wide variety of hotels that one needs to take the time to consider the different options, do some research and only then make a decision. Although price is obviously important, there are other things to consider as well, things that can make all the difference for you. Oftentimes, we are willing to pay a little more when we realize the extras that we will get.

For example, one hotel in Jerusalem may be in a very old building and you prefer a newer facility. Then again, you would prefer to be in the middle of the authenticity of the Old City of Jerusalem. Some hotels are located there, while others are in the more modern section of Jerusalem. Another factor to consider is the size of the hotel and its rooms. Some people like a quainter atmosphere, with a more family type feeling, while others enjoy a larger hotel with spacious rooms. And, of course, price is an issue, rather we like it or not, because traveling is not cheap and we want to use our hard earned money wisely.

Some of the Israel hotels, such as the Addar Hotel Jerusalem, are in older buildings. Your Israel experience will be even richer, as this unique architecture will take you back in time. The Addar Hotel is within walking distance of the Old City of Jerusalem and the main attractions of Jerusalem. Creating a homier feeling, this small hotel only has thirty guest rooms. This historic 19th century building is family owned and run and is available for a modest cost.

If you want to enjoy Israel’s other beautiful areas, you might consider the Royal Hotel Dead Sea. Here, you will find a very modern facility with 420 rooms and suites. This fine hotel offers a spectacular view of the Dead Sea from every room and is close to a central bathing beach. It is also only a ninety minute drive from the Ben Gurion Airport. This fine hotel offers a fitness center, spa, restaurants, sports bar, synagogue, outdoor pool and other luxuries. This magnificent Dead Sea hotel has much to offer all tourists.

If you are interested in a larger hotel in Jerusalem, you might consider the American Colony Hotel. Built over 120 years ago, it is designed with classic Arabian arches. This hotel is within walking distance to all the major sights and only a ten minute walk from the Old City of Jerusalem. It is also only 45 minutes from the Ben Gurion Airport, right outside Tel Aviv. This is a moderate sized hotel with 85 guest rooms, a heated pool, fitness center and sauna. The price may be a little more, but these luxuries make it well worth it to the traveler looking for a unique Israel experience.

If you are looking for a less expensive motel that is not right in Jerusalem, you will want to consider the Almog Kibbutz Dead Sea Hotel. This smaller hotel features 35 economy rooms for two people and 15 superior rooms for four people. This unique hotel offers a kosher Israeli breakfast to its guests and is only 25 minutes from the city of Jerusalem. This hotel is a great place to stay if you prefer a more quiet and simple setting at a cheaper rate.

There is no limit to the variety in hotels in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas. Tourists have the privilege to decide which motel best suits their needs, as each hotel is unique in its own way. You will find an exciting, educational and refreshing vacation in Israel, regardless of where you decide to lodge.
