Caleta de Fuste
Caleta de Fuste, or El Castillo as it is now normally known, makes a great holiday destination and is a wonderful holiday resort that caters for both families and couples alike. Designed with young children in mind, Caleta de Fuste provides lots to do for the tourist, and with all year round sunshine, has been a well-liked holiday location for several years.
In Caleta, bars and restaurants are in abundance and provide a large range of cuisines from all around the world, a few of which include Indian, Portuguese, Chinese, Mexican and of course traditional Spanish tapas.
If you have young kids then Caleta de Fuste is filled with things to do. There’s a number of play parks and trampolines. Mini golf, archery, tennis and badminton are also available. The nearby ‘Atlantico’ shopping centre (only a ten minute walk from Caleta) hosts a cinema and bowling alley.
The man made beach in Caleta de Fuste offers a safe haven for children to swim safely whilst mum and dad take it easy on the beach. The adjacent harbour offers a wide range of water sports for everyone keeping all your family amused all day long!
Caleta de Fuste offers a wide range of shops where one can obtain souvenirs of the island to take home to friends and relations.
Days out for the family can be booked easily from a number of outlets in Caleta and some of the island activities include the water park in Corralejo, zoo down in Jandia and days out to the neighbouring island of Lanzarote.
Overall the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary islands and holiday resort of Caleta de Fuste is a must see for both couples and families and with temps reaching the high nineties in the summer months you’re likely to go home from the Canary islands with a great tan too!
