Judging the top cruise destinations can be tricky. Some travel experts rank destinations in terms of their own preferences, not general popularity. It isn’t too hard to figure out which destinations are the most popular. They’re generally lowest in price – a benefit of travel volume – and widely offered by many companies. You’ll find these destinations are low in price (because of the high travel volume) and are offered by most companies in the business.
It should come as no surprise that the Caribbean is the top cruise destination. This string of islands in the Atlantic offer travelers sun, fun, and sand, a classic vacation combination. Either concentrate longer time on a few islands, or take a lengthier trip that explores the whole region.
Another top destination is the gorgeous expanse of Alaska. People love Alaskan cruises because of the exhilarating activities available on these cruises. Dog sledding, skiing, helicopter rides, and glacier excursions are just a few of the options available to rugged adventurers.
Aspiring cruisers might be intrigued by a Hawaiian cruise. Offering similar beautiful beaches as in the Caribbean, you’ll also find that the Hawaiian scenery is some of the most stunning in the world. Calling all surfers: Hawaii is you ideal vacation destination! Ample opportunities exist for avid shoppers. If you’re a hiker, consider an excursion to one of Hawaii’s active volcanoes.
Warm weather destinations really hold sway among cruisers, if the volume of travel to The Bahamas is any indication. Beautiful beaches, parasailing, and outdoor activities aplenty.
Finally, Mexico is a popular and affordable option for cruisers. Mexico has many various coastal destinations for cruisers, including Cabo San Lucas and Acapulco. Depending on your age and activity preferences, one set of destinations may appeal to you more than others. Do some Internet research or consult a travel agent to determine which Mexican itinerary would suit you the best.
