Most people believe that the gift be being creative is a little like belonging to a exclusive club that only extends invitations to a very select group of people. Others might think that the gift is something you must be born into like the great artist families of our time. Because I’m not much of a creative person, I am more likely to purchase a great print of an artwork rather than make one myself and that’s why my living room is flooded with cheap copies. Because we are all human, we must have some sort of artistic skills. In fact, we all enjoy coming up with new ways to solve problems, fulfill needs or generate new ideas. To illustrate, we often like to be a little crazy by dancing and swinging to music in our cars.
With this new set of articles, we go on a journey to investigate a number of fun filled ways to vacation and exercise our creativity. This will certainly be a welcome read for all of our translation workers who follow our columns each week. Some of the areas include exciting destinations in the cities of San Diego, Tampa and Washington D.C. The translation and interpreter workers in these cities prove it to you once and for all that art is not a spectator sport. In fact, in these cities, art is a way of life, something that’s impossible to separate from breathing. Workers in Tampa Translation Services companies, for example, learn to drum and dance along with learning to walk and speak foreign languages. Washington D.C. Translation Services employees work hard and spend quality time with each other being creative and exercising their immagination. When it is time to vacation, as language workers we must find new ways to let our creative juices run wild. These vacation ideas are certainly not drab and they will definitely leave you with something to remember. These vacations are not only packed with fun but they will also give you that extra push to complete your artistic masterpiece.
Whether you are interested in pottery, painting, drama, photography, mosaics, or just writing a pithy Christmas letter, there is an international arts-and-crafts vacation with your name on it. Walter Reed was known for saying that a nation can be defined through its creative achievements. Certainly the people of San Diego who refined the tango dance would agree whole heartedly. Historically, the now world-famous tango was one of the first dances where partners were actually allowed to touch each other. While the dance has its roots in Argentina, many people find it challenging to imagine how this dance could have made its way into mainstream society and to even cross borders throughout the world.
Anyone can enroll in Tango Dance lessons through the San Diego Dance Company which is located in California, the birth place of the American Tango. The company, offers 3-, 4-, 5-, 7-, 10-, and 14-day tango vacations that include daily lessons, a personal practice partner, and an instructor that is usually from a local San Diego Translation Services company. As an added feature, the translation instructors who teach these courses will even take you around to various milongas in California. Just in case you are still a newbie in Tango, a milonga is a place where the tango is done. Luckily, each milonga opens with a free class where instructors give lessons on how to do the tango. This is a nice incentive for anyone who is interested in learning more. The tandas are separated by a cortina, a musical break during which the floor is cleared and new partnerships are formed.
