Rhodes Island has a diminutive and peaceful tourist attraction named, Apolakkia, located at a distance of 92-km from Rhodes city. Being close to Lindos, it can be reached by following the Gennadi to Vati highway. The village looks like being surrounded by a ditch. According to a myth, its name has been derived from lakos (Greek) which means ditch.

Apolakkia Beach:
Apolakkia Beach commonly termed as Limni Beach, is 3500 meters in length and 35 meters in width. This prominent beach gets crowded in summer season. To access this beach, you should follow the way going down from Apolakkia in the direction of Katavia. You are also advised to follow the signs. You can have a shower along with a parking area. You cannot find any other transportation facility from this place.
