The scope of diversion on offer in the Roman capital is really huge, and the capital, along with its local spots offers the near totality of all the events organised in Lazio. Rome, in terms of the number of concerts on offer, is second in Italy only to Milan and is nowadays an unmissable leg of tour for all big stars in the international pop/rock scene.
Amongst the public spaces accommodating the most important events is the Olympic Stadium, used only however during the summer months once the football season has ended. Other similarly famous locations include the Fiera di Roma and the PalaLottomatica. Here is a list with the main music events taking place from now until the end of the year, including above all the highly anticipated performance by Madonna on the 6th September.

Also very important is the performance of Queen, landing in Rome on September 26th. The Queen myth is going to rekindle once again. For many fans, the fact that the Freddy Mercury band still has great support in our country is great as it means that one of the bans responsible for creating the very soul of music in the past 3 decades being in Rome. Today, singing the yesterday songs of the legendary group is a really difficult task. It will be up to Paul Rodgers, a unique burden and a special honour and I’m sure he’s hoping not to disappoint the fans. A large number of fans are expected in the city during this event, making the most of the city and the concert, hoping to do some of the touristy things as well. Make sure you book your accommodation (alloggio Roma). There are many apartments (appartamenti Roma) available in the city, and many hotels (hotel a Roma) will be ready to welcome you. I do hope you enjoy your holiday in Italy’s finest city.
