The unique location of Chicago on Lake Michigan attracts many people in the warmer months that enjoy going for a bike ride, a run or play beach volleyball on the beach in the summer. They have a great bike path to stroll on all along the water for some amazing views in addition to entertaining people watching.

Los Angeles is the city for the entertainment business so it would be fun to center your trip around that theme as well as taking in the magnificent weather and nearby beaches. Many TV shows have free tickets to be in the audience for the taping of the show. Most of these shows are located in Studio City which is basically a huge area filled with large warehouse spaces that house the different television sets. It could be fun to go to more than one show since they are mostly all located here. Many people like to visit the stars on Hollywood and maybe take a Tour of Movie Stars homes for fun as well.
